New cancer study

A new study looking into the relationship between overexpression of epidermal growth factor receptors and pancreatic cancer was just published. The study found that a drug, called erlotinib, that effectively blocks the EGFRs, was effective in treating pancreatic cancer in mice. The drug induced apoptosis and reduced angiogenesis in tumors. The full study can be found here.
